Nittany Valley Raises Awareness of Cardiovascular Disease at the Centre County Heartwalk
Nittany Valley once again joined the American Heart Association’s efforts to raise awareness about cardiovascular disease by participating in the Centre County Heart and Stroke Walk. Over 40 people, including employees, families, volunteers and health care partners walked as the HealthSouth Nittany Valley team on September 29. Nittany Valley’s CEO Susan Hartman was this year’s chair of the event. The team raised $1,600.00 for the American Heart Association.
Nittany Valley has both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs for stroke and heart failure patients, and is proud to have the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for its disease-specific care programs in both stroke and heart failure.
