The Stroke Group at HealthSouth Nittany Valley Rehabilitation Hospital will host "Mental Balance: Healthy Coping Mechanisms for Stroke Patients and Caregivers", Tuesday, October 31st from 4:00-5:00 p.m. in the HealthSouth Nittany Valley in-service room.
HealthSouth Clinical Psychologist Peter J. O'Donnell will lead a group discussion about developing balance in life following a stroke. Topics include caregiver fatigue and positive coping mechanisms for patient and caregivers following a stroke.
The Stroke Group is lead by Physical Therapist Mitch Straub Doctor of Physical Therapy, HealthSouth Nittany Valley Rehabilitation Hospital.
The Stroke Group meets monthly to provide stroke survivors and other interested parties with education, support and information. Meeting include guest speakers and a variety of topics.
The Stroke Group meets on the last Tuesday of every month from 4:00-5:00 p.m. Free and open to the public.
